Refresh yourself and stay cool by visiting a Georgia lake. Many offer fun activities for everyone which includes fishing, swimming, boating, camping and nature hiking! Black Rock Lake in Rabun County
Size: 17 acres Fish: A fair population of largemouth bass and sunfish. Catfish are periodically stocked into the lake. Trout are also periodically stocked (about 3,000 annually).
Lake Facilities: Cottages and campsites (not adjacent to lake), hiking trails, senic overlooks, picnic tables, fishing pier that is wheelchair accessible. Lake is 2241 feet above sea level.
Fee: $5 parking fee Open: All year 7 am - 10 pm

Commerce Watershed Lake in Banks County
Size: 60 acres Fish: Bass, catfish and crappie
Lake Facilities: Boat ramp
Fee: No special fees Open: All year
Restrictions: Boats may use electric motors only. Fishing is permitted year round from the shoreline, and from boats with trolling motors only. There are no camping or picnicking facilities.

Crow's Lake in Jackson County
Size: 3 fishing lakes Fish: Bass, bream, and channel catfish
Lake Facilities: Boat ramp on the larger lake, restrooms, picnic tables, bait, tackle and night lights. Live catfish available for sale on Saturday.
Fee: Daily entrace fee and per pound of fish caught
Open: May 1 - Oct 1 during Wednesday - Saturday only
Restrictions: Anglers must keep all fish except bass. Only bass fishing boats allowed.

GA lake
Fort Yargo State Park Lake in Barrow County
Size: 260 acres Fish: Channel catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, and crappie
Lake Facilities: Boat ramp, boat rentals, restrooms, tent and RV camping, swimming, cottages, playground, picnic tables, minature golf, beach and shelters, canoes, paddle boats and jon boats. Jon boats available with or without motors. Handicap accessible facilities are available.
Fee: $5 parking fee Open: All year from 7 am to 10 pm seven days a week
Restrictions: 10 hp motor restriction, boats allowed from 7 am until sunset.

Lake Russell in Habersham County
Size: 95 acres Fish: Bass, sunfish, catfish and crappie
Lake Facilities: Concrete boat ramp, camping and swimming from the middle of May through October. The Forest Service operates a 41-unit campground adjacent to the lake. Although the camping facilities and swimming beach are open only from mid-May through October, the lake is accessible by vehicle and open to fishing year round. There is a concrete launching ramp.

Restrictions: Boats may use electric motors only.
Outboard motors are not allowed on the lake, but electric motors are permitted.

Lake Trahlyta at Vogel State Park in Union County
Size: 22 acres
Fish: Bass, bream and trout. This lake has a limited fishery for bass and bream and is stocked periodically during each trout season with about 5,000 trout.
Lake Facilities: Swimming, paddle boating, cottages, camping, minature golf
Fee: $3 parking fee Open: All year
Restrictions: No boats allowed

Mountains, Lake and Bridge in Georgia
Seed Lake in Rabun County
Size: 240 acres Fish: This lake receives relatively light fishing pressure and has a good population of largemouth bass, bluegill, and redbreast sunfish. A few walleye are also caught. There is an abundance of small yellow perch. The lake is accessible by a small launching ramp on the Lake Rabun Road.

Tallulah Falls Lake in Rabun County
Size: 63 acres Fish: Fishing is fair for bass, sunfish, yellow perch and catfish.
Lake Facilities: No boat ramp is available, but small boats and canoes can be launched by hand on the south side of the lake. Camping and picnic facilities are available off U.S. Highway 441.
Fee: No special fees Open: All year
Restrictions: Lake level often fluctuates rapidly so take proper precautions. This small lake is operated primarily for power generation and thus the lake level often fluctuates rapidly.

Unicoi Lake in White County
Size: 53 acres Fish: Bass, bream, catfish and trout
Lake Facilities: Canoe rental, two swimming beaches, camping, paddle boats, picnic shelters, hiking trails.
Fee: $5 parking fee Open: All year 7:00am - 10:00PM
Restrictions: This impoundment supports a fair bass, bluegill fishery. Catfish are periodically stocked into the lake. Smith Creek, upstream from the lake, is stocked heavily with catchable trout from April through August and a few trout are caught in the lake as a result.

Victoria Bryant State Park in Franklin County
Size: 2 small ponds. 1/2 acre for campers and 1 acre for disabled persons only.
Fish: Bass, bream, channel catfish and crappie
Lake Facilities: Campsites and a picnic area are available.
Fee: $5 parking fee
Open: Call for days. Ponds are only open certain days for campers and disabled persons.
Restrictions: One pond open to disabled persons only, the other open only to campers only during certain days of the week. Call for more info.

Yonah Lake in Stephens County
Size: 325 acres Fish: Bass, bream and catfish
Lake Facilities: Two boat ramps, one near the dam and the other at the upper end of the lake, picnic area. It is relatively isolated, but does have some summer cottages around its shoreline. It is accessible by two launching ramps on the Georgia side of the lake. One ramp is at the upper end of the lake, and the other is near the dam.
Fee: No special fees Open: All year
Restrictions: Subject to severe water level fluctuations for power generation. Fishing pressure is light on this lake, which is subject to severe water level fluctuations from power generations. Fishing is primarily for bass, sunfish and catfish.
