Fort Yargo State Park YurtThis popular 1816-acre park features a 1792 log fort built by settlers for protection against Creek and Cherokee Indians. Today, visitors come to Fort Yargo for its wide variety of outdoor recreation and scenery.

Campgrounds
50-foot Campsites hold the following equipment: 1 tent, 2 tents, a pop-up trailer, a trailer up to 50', or a motorhome up to 50'. Each site has water, 20 & 30 amp electrical service, picnic table, grill, and fire ring. No cable hookup. Comfort station has washer/dryer. Maximum 6 people per site. Maximum 2 vehicles per site.
Lake Picnic Area at Fort Yargo State ParkTent Walk-In Campsites hold the following equipment: 1 tent or 2 tents. This area is for hike in campers only. No vehicles allowed. Two night minimum on weekends. Sites have easy access to lake, boats and canoes can be docked at shoreline. All sites have a picnic table & grill. Sites are located 225 ft away from parking area. There is a central bathhouse located near parking lot. All tents must be pitched on designated tent pads. All sites share a central water spigot. No electricity on these sites. Each site has a picnic table, grill, and fire ring.
Pioneer Campsite - This is a primitive, rugged site for groups only. 10 person minimum. Site is located by itself. Site has water but no electricity. Site has fire ring and pit toilets. The area has two adirondack shelters, picnic shelter, and horseshoe pit. Site located in large wooded area in B-Section of park, approximately 100 yards from lake, hiking trails. Swimming, mini golf and boat rentals are 3 miles by car and 1 mile by trail.
Accessible Cottages - Two bedroom cottage. Each bedroom has two double beds. Sleeps 8. Each cottage has one bath with tub/shower and one bath w/ADA stall only. Bed and bath linens provided. Fireplace (uses gas logs). Heat/AC. Cable TV. No phone. Combination living and dining room. Fully equipped kitchen has stove/oven, coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, cups/glasses, & refrigerator. Bed and bath linens provided. Grill and picnic table outside. Accessible fishing dock from cottage area, accessible nature trail adjacent to cottages.

Group Shelter Pavilions
Group Shelter A - Open pavilion. Located near the beach, boat rentals, playground and mini-golf. Has seating area, lights, a large grill, picnic tables, & small kitchen with sink and refrigerator. The shelter has attached public restrooms. Parking is limited. No heat or air. All visitors are required to have parkpass
Group Shelter B - End shelter. Located in B Section of the park. Has heat and air, ceiling fans and windows. The kitchen is equipped with sink, stove and refrigerator. Public restrooms attached to shelter. Has folding tables and chairs, large grills and horseshoe pits. All visitors are required to have parkpass.
Nature Center Pavilion - Open-sided covered shelter. Located across from the multi-purpose courts. Has tables, grill and restrooms. Has electric and water. All visitors are required to have parkpass.
Beach Pavilion - Open-sided covered shelter. Located at beach area. Has tables, grill and restrooms. Has electric and water. All visitors are required to have parkpass.
Picnic Shelters 1-5
Picnic Shelter #1: Open-Sided covered shelter. Waterfront. Shelter has lights, electric outlet, water, 4 tables, 1 grill and a horseshoe pit. Parking is approximately 100 feet from shelter, restrooms are across the street approximately 125 yards. to beach, playground, mini-golf and boat rental area.

Picnic Shelter #2: Open-Sided covered shelter. Located across the street from the beach, playground, mini-golf and boat rental. Electric and lights. Shelter has water, concrete pad, 4 tables, 1 grill and a horseshoe pit. Restrooms are across the parking lot approximately 75 yards away. There is no electricity at this shelter.
Picnic Shelter #3: Open-sided covered shelter located in a heavily wooded area and has a steep slope access to it. Has lights, electric outlet, water, grill, horseshoe pit and a concrete pad with 4 tables. to the beach, playground and approximately 200 yards to playground, boat rental and mini-golf. Shelter is pproximately 50 yards from the restroom. A limited parking area is 125 feet to shelter.
Picnic Shelter #4: Open-sided coved shelter. Located in B-Section of the park on hillside above Shelter B. Has a steep slope to access it. No electric or lights. Has grill, horseshoe pit, gravel pad and 4 tables. Approximately 75 yards from restrooms. By car it is 3 miles to beach, playground, mini-golf and boat rentals. 150 feet from parking area.
Picnic Shelter #5: Open-sided covered shelter. Located in picnic area 2 of the park. Has lights, electrical outlets, water and grill. Concrete pad. Restrooms are approximately 100 yards away. Approximately 400 yards walking distance to beach and boat rentals. There is a playground to this shelter. All visitors to shelters are required to have a Parkpass.

Reservations Cancellation Policy
Miniature Golf at Fort Yargo State ParkCancellation of a reservation must be made at least 3 days prior to the date of arrival in order to receive a refund. A cancellation/handling fee per reservation will be charged. Changes in arrival date made less than 3 days prior to the scheduled arrival will constitute a cancellation and forfeit of the deposit. 7-14 day Cottage Reservation Guidelines: All cancellations received 30 days in advance will receive deposit refund minus the cancellation fee per facility.

If a customer requests to cancel less then 30 days in advance but before 72 hours of arrival, the customer may request refund in witting to the site. If cottage is rebooked for the time period originally reserved, site will have Customer Service issue a full refund to the customer minus the cancellation fee. If reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of arrival date no refund of the one night deposit will be given. Deposits are required for all reservations. Credit card deposits are posted when the reservation is made.

Check-in - Check-in is between 1 pm and 10 pm and check-out is before 1 pm. Campers must register and present a reservation confirmation before setting up. If you do not arrive on the first night of your stay, you will be counted as a no-show, your reservation will be cancelled, and you will forfeit your deposit.

Reservation Changes (Changes in arrival dates, transfers, etc.) You may make one change without a charge, provided a 3-day notice is given. Additional changes will incur a per reservation handling fee.
