VSU Planetarium Shows
The planetarium at Camp Sunrise is well equipped with over 75 special effects projectors and video projection, in addition to the main star projector. Most of the programs are computer controlled. We welcome you to schedule a group of 20 or more people by calling. You can choose the programs you would like to see. Shows are for students and adults.
Sunrise PlanetariumAt Camp Sunrise, visitors and campers alike will enjoy train rides, planetarium programs, science museum tours, a camp store, rocket building, a boat lake, a swimming lake, water slide, rappelling, zip line, and skeet shooting. Camp Sunrise also offers birthday parties, family reunions, science programs, science camps, and much, much more!

Facilities are available for company picnics or businesses that would like to bring their lunch and enjoy a train ride along a delightful route through the woods to the large picnic pavilion. Company picnics are offered without charge and by appointment only.

What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday! Bring your children, invite friends, ride the train and have a party at the big pavilion.

Train Ride Picnics are available for any company, church group or organization that would like to bring their lunch and enjoy a train ride along a delightful route through the woods to the large picnic pavillion.
Train at Camp Sunrise
Camp Sunrise operates a 24 gauge railroad which is about 1/3 the size of a full train. The train is available by appointment for groups that enjoy riding trains. Each ride includes educational and historical information about trains, the hobos, gold mining, and the value of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Train Ride Picnics are offered without charge and by appointment only.

The Planetarium Programs differ in content and some are designed for a variety of ages. We prefer groups of 20 or more. Programs and videos are available on many subjects.

Museum Tours for groups of 10 to 15 are available by appointment only. Come learn about The Days of Creation; The Great Floor; and much more!

As you can see, Camp Sunrise is a wonderful places for groups to enjoy many fun activities for FREE. Parking is free as well.
