Panola MountainThis unusual 1635-acre park was created to protect the 100-acre granite monadnock (mountain) often compared to Stone Mountain and Arabia Mountain. Panola Mountain shelters rare plants of the Piedmont region. Hikers may explore the park’s watershed and granite outcrop on their own, or they may join park staff for guided hikes onto the restricted-access mountain.

BulletPlayground at Panola Mountain State ParkWeddings (park approval required) BulletGeoCaching BulletBicycling and Jogging -- access to 12-mile, paved Rockdale River and Arabia Mountain PATH Trail, Muddy Spokes Club Bullet12-mile PATH Foundation Trail / Panola Mountain Trailhead - this paved trail connects Panola Mountain with Arabia Mountain and Stonecrest Mall. It is available for hiking, biking, skating and other non-motorized vehicle use. Dogs are only allowed on this trail provided they are on a 6-foot leash. Picnic Shelters
Picnic Shelter #1 - Open-sided covered shelter, located at least 100 yards from the parking area, on the same side as the playground. Sits down an embankment. Not ADA accessible. Use first parking lot on the left. Shelter has grill and water faucet. No electrical service. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No pets allowed on the trails. Maximum 25 cars.

Picnic Shelter #2 - Open-sided covered shelter, located across the road from the playground. Site sits down low and is not easily accessible by wheelchair. Shelter has grill and water faucet. No electrical service. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No pets allowed on trails. Groups/families of 60 to 100 persons should reserve shelters #2 and #4. They will need both areas. Those shelters are within 150 yards of each other.

Picnic Shelter #3 - Open-sided covered shelter, located across the road from the playground, next to the entrance of the 1 mile fitness trail. Shelter is on level ground and is the easiest accessible site. Shelter has grill and water faucet. No electrical service. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No pets allowed on the trails.

Picnic Shelter #4 - Open-sided covered shelter. Located on level ground and is easily accessible. Shelter has grill and water faucet. No electrical service. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. No pets allowed on trails. Maximum 25 cars. Groups/families of 60 to 100 persons should reserve shelters #2 and #4. They will need both areas. Those shelters are within 150 yards of each other. All visitors are required to have ParkPass.

Conference Coordinators: When you enter the park, follow the park road until you see a turn-around circle for vehicles. At this circle, you will see a park personnel road to your right. You will turn down this road to the back of the Nature Center. Conference attendees will have reserved parking nearby.
Reservations Policy
Hiking trail at Panola Mountain State ParkBulletAll fees due at the time of reservation. BulletPets are not allowed in Conference Room area.

BulletThe Conference Center is a "smoke-free, tobacco-free environment." this policy must be observed in all meeting rooms and public lobby areas, including the dining room. Smoking is not allowed in any guest room. Smoking or tobacco use are permitted only in designated areas outside of buildings.
