Crops produced on this certified farm include strawberries, tomatoes, cotton, peanuts as well as a herd of quality beef cattle.
General & Field Trip Info - This is a family farm in Colquitt County, Georgia, located in Southwest Georgia between Moultrie (GA Hwy 37 W) and Funston on Rossman Dairy Road.

About the Owner - Owner and operator, Scott Hart, is a retired Vocational Agriculture and Young Farmer teacher who has been farming in Colquitt County for 40 years. During his tenure as a Teacher, he was selected Ga. Young Farmer teacher of the year in 1993 and also was named National Young Farmer teacher of the year by National Young Farmers Association.

He was named the Agribusinessman of the Year(2002) by the Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce. In additon to these awards He was also Selected as Master Farmer of the Year by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). In February of 2007 he was installed into the Ga. Ag. Teacher Hall of Fame at the State FFA camp.

Field Trips - We invite you to bring groups of children to tour our strawberry farm. Each tour will include a detailed explanation (age appropriate) of the lifecycle of the strawberry. Children will see the pond and equipment that waters the berries, the equipment that lays the plastic, and will hear about the growth process. Our tours are geared to students who are in Pre-K through 2nd grade. Because of the fragile nature of the strawberries, we ask that all groups have an adult to student ratio of 1:4.

There is a small cost of the tour per child. In addition to touring the farm, each child will pick one pint of strawberries to take home or to use in an activity back at school. Call or visit our website (see address below) for more info.
