Lake Conasauga Recreation Area is 3,150 feet above sea level and has a 19-acre lake. Located near the summit of Grassy Mountain in the Cohutta Mountains of northwest Georgia, this area is rich in plants, birds, wildlife and recreational opportunities. The area includes camping facilities, fishing, swimming, and boating, picnicking, hiking, swimming, boating and fishing and interpretive nature programs on Saturdays. Lake Conasauga Songbird Management Area stands atop 3300' Grassy Mountain, the Songbird Area attracts a wide variety of birds due to the convergence of many habitat types in a small area. These habitats range from cleared, grassy areas to mature hardwoods. Coniferous forest & streams mingle with beaver ponds and swamps. Managment activities are planned to complement & maintain this diversity. Grass and shrub habitat, established with small timber harvests will be maintained through an annual program of prescribed burning. Murray County Recreation Department offers Tennis courts, baseball fields, football fields, soccer fields, walking trails, batting cages, picnic areas, playgrounds, basketball courts.
Bullet Chatsworth City Park is a great place to just sit back and relax. Swing on some of the bench swings or have your picture taken by the fountain.
BulletChestnut Street Facility is a 30 acre facility with 6 Baseball/Softball fields, Concession stand, 6 Tennis Courts along with 2 Picnic Shelters and 2 Playgrounds.
BulletEton City Park features Baseball and soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts Stage area, playground area,covered pavilion and rental concession facilities. The Eton park boasts community activities most every weekend of the year.
BulletGreen Road Complex includes 6 baseball fields, lighted tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, 2 playground areas and concession stand.
BulletPetty-Fairy Valley Park is a 25 acre facility with 2 Baseball/Softball fields, 2 Football/Soccer fields, a Concession stand along with access to Sumac Creek. Also, a playground for the kids and a lighted walking track.
