Jake and Bull Mountain Trail Sysem General Information
The Jake Mountain Trail System and Bull Mountain Trail System connect to form a complex system of scenic trails within a four square mile area of the Chattahoochee National Forest's Blue Ridge Ranger District. This area is located in western Lumpkin County, less than ten minutes from downtown Dahlonega. The system is made up of interconnecting dirt trails and gravel roads which are accessed by two trailheads.

The system is made up of interconnecting dirt trails and gravel roads which are accessed by two trailheads. Elevations range from 1,700 to 2,500 feet. The single-track trail is shared by mountain bicycles and horses. Some of the area is subject to motor vehicle traffic. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the single-track trail. Caution: This trail is located in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area which is open to various hunting seasons throughout the year. Use any roads shared with motor vehicles with extreme caution.

Reservations are not required. Occupancy of sites are on a first come, first serve basis.

Directions to Trailheads
Jake Mountain Trailhead - From Dahlonega Georgia, go west on State Rd 52 for approximately 8 miles. Turn right onto Nimblewill Church Rd and proceed straight for approximately 2 miles. The trailhead is on the right.

Bull Mountain Trailhead - From Dahlonega Georgia, go west on State Rd 52 for approximately 8 miles. Turn right onto Nimblewill Church Rd and proceed straight for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Forest Development Rd 28-1. Turn left onto Forest Development Road 83 and proceed straight for approximately 1 mile. The trailhead is located at the end of the road.
