General Info
Would you like to watch an artisan at work - delicately painting details on flowers, weaving drying kudzu into beautiful useable baskets, painting designs on silk, waving homespun yarn or diligently dove-tailing Georgia's finest woods into furniture.

Genuine Georgia is a one-of-a-kind marketplace featuring over 135 of Georgia's finest artists and crafters. "Each day, one of the working artists or one of the many other artists we represent, sits in the storefront studio, carefully and lovingly demonstrating their skills," states Cynthia Smith, owner.

On weekends and other special occasions, guest artist are brought in to share their talents and sell their wares directly to the customers

Genuine Georgia features the work of Jan Whyllson, local poet and Folk artist, Lake Oconee resident and watercolor artist, Judy Bronkhorst, nationally known Native American artist, Linda Windell, popular local oil, acrylic portrait, and landscape artist Kareen Davis, and Joshua "Firehawk" Johnson, son of local potters, John and Anne Marie Winterhawk. He has developed his own unique pottery, WinterHawk One Sun and produces Native American pots and sculptures.

The Genuine Georgia store also offers the Georgia Pantry, filled with unique sauces, dressings, candies and jellies that make a wonderful gift basket for the holiday season.
