This Federal-style John-Marlor House was built in the 1830s as a Wedding present. It currently houses offices of the Allied Arts Center, and an educational gallery.

Marlor House Pen and Ink DrawingSpecializing in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Heritage Arts, Literary Arts and Art Education, the programming goals run parallel with our facilities development goals. The preservation and adaptation of four historic structures that make up our arts center complex have played a pivotal role in our programming history.

This phenominal arts community offers art performances, acting classes and a variety of art classes. Their classes and worships change constently. One month you can learn how to create stained glass and the next month, you can take watercolor painting classes. They have a popular summer acting classes for youth ages 6-18.

In the 1911 Allen's Market Building, which is one of four historic buildings that make up the Marlor Arts Center Complex in Milledgeville's Downtown Historic District we need to complete a roughed in artist-in-residence efficiency apartment and a second small classroom/kitchen space.

You can visit the gallery for FREE in this lovely historic building. Art gallery exhibits change on a regular basis. Architectural tours are also available for free; however, you are required to call to reserve a tour. Free limited parking is offered as well.
