Hurricane Shoals Park has 7 covered pavilions and a amphitheartre which can be rented. There are many open picnic tables and grills available. Two restroom facilities, two playgrounds and walking trails. Covered Bridge on the Jefferson side. Walking bridge overlooks North Oconee River. Lamar Murphy Park has three 300-foot lighted baseball/softball fields, two 200-foot lighted baseball/softball fields, 2 lighted football/soccer fields, 2 outdoor batting cages, 2 - concession stands, 3 covered pavilions with picnic tables, playground, walking trail, 2 parking lots

Sell's Mill Park has a covered pavilion with several picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, walking trails and The Mill building. The pavilion and The Mill can be rented.

Shields-Ethridge Heritage Farm is an outdoor historical museum. Open to public (by appointment) and hosts regular, scheduled seminars and tours that showcase the Farm's historic buildings, including a cotton gin, blacksmith shop, fully-stocked commisary, wheat house, gristmill and restored schoolhouse. All of these historic, agricultural buildings lie in their original lcoation amid 150 acres of historic farmland originally established in 1800. Plan to visit during annual May "Mule Day". Thompson Mills Forest has a 330-acre State Arboretum of Georgia offers granite outcrop, two trails and features a 30 minute self-guided walk through a seven-acre garden.
