Chehaw Wild Animal Park is one of two AZA accredited zoos in GA. Exotic and native animals in native habitat. Children's area. Free ranging Lemur exhibit. Train Ride. The largest children's play park in SW GA. Built by community volunteers from Albany, Lee and surrounding counties. Hours of fun for the kids. Flint Riverquarium is a fresh water aquarium that tells the story of the Flint River and the mysterious blue-hole springs that help create it. Adjacent to the Riverquarium is the Adventure Center which houses a big screen theater, a 3,000 square foot changing exhibit hall along with a classroom and science lab for students. Open 10am-5pm. Grove Park has a 1/4-mile walking trail, basketball court, playground equipment, and large playing field. Location: 2603 Rosebrier Ave., Albany Georgia
Hilsman Park & Hugh Mill's Station features Hugh Mill's home at Albany State University football team, adjacent to high school and serves as the city football, track & field stadium. Flint River Aquarium
Lake Chehaw - This 1921 Georgia Power Dam forms this 1400 acre lake. Lake Chehaw offers boating, fishing and skiing. A canoe trail winds through the lake and there is a covered picnic area at the dam. Phone: 229-430-5275 - Location: 105 Chehaw Park Rd., Albany Georgia 31701
RiverFront Park is a 6 acre park located in Downtown Albany by the beautiful Flint River. Amenities of the park include: a great lawn area for family picnics and gatherings, music and light animated play fountain, pavilion areas, Turtle Grove Play Park, a 1.5 mile Greenways Trail System, Horace King Overlook, the historic Bridge House and the Riverwalk.

Turtle Grove Play Park is the community built park that features a safe and secure play area for children ages 1-14. The play park includes seven basic areas: Dino Dig, Tot Lot, Big Kid Area, Critters Area, Mosaic-Tile Area, Rock Climbing Wall, Musical Instruments and other static climbing features. Directions: Following US 82 W from I-75, cross over the Flint River and turn right onto South Front Street. Following US 82 E from Columbus, continue into Downtown Albany on Pine Avenue which will end at RiverFront Park. Following SR 91 S, continue into Downtown Albany and turn left onto Pine Avenue, which ends at RiverFront Park. Following SR 91 N, continue into Downtown Albany and turn right onto Pine Avenue, which ends at RiverFront Park.
The Parks at Chehaw is an 800+ acre recreational park with playgrounds, picnic areas, nature trails, and campground for RV's and tents. Also home to the Chehaw Wild Animal Park designed by famed naturalist Jim Fowler, the park is an American Zoological and Aquarium Association designated zoo! Originally laid out by noted naturalist Jim Fowler (of TV's Wild Kingdom), Chehaw Wild Animal Park features natural habitat exhibits with native and exotic animals. Visitors can stroll scenic boardwalks through the cypress swamps. Kids will love the Petting Zoo close by. Then enjoy special programs at the Amphitheater and tour the Reptile and Small Animal House. Also available in the park is Southwest Georgia's largest play park, nature trails, camping lots, picnic areas and pavilions and a 20-minute train ride aboard the Wiregrass Express!

Directions: Coming from Atlanta, Warner Robins: From I-75 S, take the exit to Hwy 300. Go south on 300 and turn right on Hwy 32 W. Turn left on Hwy 91. The park will be about 9 miles on the right.
Tift Park features Historic Tift Park Carriage Trails. This national historic site, features a beautiful oak-lined carriage trail, part of the original landscaping from 1912, as well as picnic and play area.Phone: 229-430-5222 - Address: 1300 N Monroe St, Albany Georgia 31701
